About Us

East End Best Friend is an online purveyor of the finest handmade canine accessories.

In 2012 we came home from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home with Roxy, a then nine month old Rottweiler, Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. We really struggled to find anything durable enough to withstand the enthusiasm of a dog like Roxy that we didn’t immediately want to hide away from view in our home - everything we could find was either durable but ugly or lovely to look at but more suitable for a baby to play with than a dog. So we began to try and bridge the gap, to create a collection of accessories that not only could put up with a bit of rough and tumble, but that we would actually want in our home.

After all, we believe a dog makes a home, they are every bit a part of the family. That’s why we make things for people to enjoy with their dogs. And we believe the things we choose to have for them should be made with the same care and attention as the things we would choose for ourselves.
